the Heart Approaches What It Yearns

Monsieur asked me out again. I had some idea that he might. Saturday we will go out, possibly to hear some music. It’ll be fun, I think. A chance to get away from the house is always nice. I’m thinking of getting someone to cover my Friday night shift so I won’t be out so late, or if not, maybe switch with me so I’ll get home earlier.

I know I’m demanding, and impatient, and I know that he is trying very hard to overcome his grief. I know he thinks of me as a good nanny. I guess the important thing is that Monsieur thinks of me as a woman, too. It’s OK even if I don’t get sex from him. Still, I’m going to try to get my shift covered tonight – and no wine for me, either. I’m not falling asleep again.

I had a nice little connection with a fellow blogger over the ol’ chat thing today. It’s nice to connect with a human with some similar issues. I won’t mention names; she knows who she is, and I hope she knows how nice it was to chat. Nothing hot or naughty, you understand; I’m trying very hard to be good.

I am SO good. Last night I even ‘fessed up to Monsieur that I had a blog, and I think he knew all about it already. He only said to be sure I took care to maintain my privacy, mention no names, and don’t use my face when I post a picture. Which reminds me: I missed HNT last night. Oops. Well, better late, etc. So, in the interest of not showing my face, here’s my ass.

(I wonder if he reads this? Probably not. If he does, I hope he knows how much I love him.)
